Food I found while in Colombia

Pan - fresh rolls/bread

Fruit Drink - Guanabana en leche - Fruit with milk (basically the inside of a fruit that is blended into liquid and added to milk.... good sweet stuff!)

Morcilla - rice with pig blood rolls (didn't realize til just now exactly what I was eating, BUT it was pretty tasty!)

Tamales - Similar to Mexican tamales, BUT much more moist, flavorful, and yummy in my opinion

Whole fish fried... and Rice w/coconut... and fried plantain, french fries, and carrots and onion

Yummy Chocolates from first local bakery

Guava w/Cheese - Delicious!

Granadilla Fruit - A fruit that you eat the slimy looking stuff with seeds... very different and good!

Fresh Homemade Tomato Soup - so gonna do this at home Thanks to Alejandra! Boil carrots, tomatoes, cilantro; then add into blender and blend; then add back in pan to warm up w/or w/o corn and other items if you prefer. Then for color/cream, add some milk swirl on top.

Rice w/corn, BBQ pork ribs, fresh sliced tomato

Obleas - paper thin waffles with caramel in one layer, blueberry syrup in another, and shredded white cheese and cream in another... heaven in your mouth!

Good stuff yet again! Tasted like a peanut butter flavored marshmellow cream covered in nuts

This was delicious... a circular chip similar to tortilla chip of some sort, topped with a fruit, then topped with a creamy sweet syrup

Chicken, potato, yuca, carne, rice with Fresh blueberry juice

Mangotino - yummy sweet like candy fruit on the inside (the white stuff)

Scrambled eggs w/sausage, arepa with cheese, and coffee

Brevas w/Cheese - again another fruit, it was great at first but couldn't eat all of it.

Grilled corn on the cob - BUT it was different that our corn... good stuff

Rice w/milk & raisins - not my favorite

Patacon - Similar to what you get on a taco BUT it is on a fried green plantain smashed

Strawberry Merengon - tasted like merenge (sp?) on top and bottom with strawberry's in the middle of the layers - Good stuff!

Michilada - Not the same as they make them in Southern TX/Mexico from what I recall.... Auguilar Light Beer w/limon and salt on the rim

Plantain appetizer - Plantain (green - non sweet kind) with tons of dipping sauces

Redd's Beer - All the beers have been good so far, but I think this is the best so far for my faves! Better try some more to see if anything can top it :)

Chorizo w/plantain and Salad - TOTALLY different chorrizo than in south TX - this has veggies and or peppers inside that you can see and taste inside the chorrizo

Pork, arepa, and french fries

Chicharron with plantain, arrapa, egg, and other stuff

Liver with arepa

Beer - with oj and rum

Obleos - waffle paper thin with cream and sauce in the middle... delicious!

Waffle with Nutella and Caramel and fresh fruit with ice cream

Fried fish w/cheese

My dinner - Cazuela - beans, plantain, chichirron, avacado, and crispy potato fries on top....
